Like its predecessor Blue Lines, this fully revised guidebook includes the classic mountaineering routes in the High Peaks and the more modern steep lines at Chapel Pond, Cascade Lakes, Poke-O-Moonshine, and Avalanche Pass. Its stories cover almost a hundred years of exploration, from the ascents of the Trap Dyke, through Yvon Chouinard's unveiling of the "modern" ice axes in 1969, and on to the inspirational visits of stars like Jeff and Alex Lowe.
Blue Lines 2 takes the story even further, describing the explosion of new routes in Panther Gorge along with the discovery of dozens of new areas like Hayes Mountain, Hoffman Notch, West Canada Cliff, and Silver Lake Mountain.
The original Blue Lines included about 350 routes. Blue Lines 2 almsot doubles that.
